M.E.G. Systems has joined forces with Hi-Temp Products in introducing the Power-Lid to the aluminum die casting industry. This new design offers a lot of advantages over the existing systems in the field. The lid offers heating elements on ceramic rods which allows higher watt density on the wire and also allows you to replace an element by removing the rod and sliding a new element on the rod and attaching the rod back into the lid. This design gives the customer the advantage of higher power output with the ease of replacing an element should failure occur. Also, by having the element exposed you get quicker response to your heating needs since the element is not trying to radiate through a fiber or cement body.

We can design this system to work off line voltage in many cases which saves the expense of a transformer and makes the entire system more cost effective. We feel that this system offers all the best design benefits that the customer should expect from a lid heater.
